How to buy final expense leads that agents actually work

Most final expense agents do not have a lead problem. They have a contact-attempt problem on leads that went cold before the first dial.

Final expense is a phone business. The product is simple, the consumer is often older, and the sale is usually made on the first real conversation. That makes lead freshness and phone accuracy worth more here than in almost any other insurance category.

What a final expense lead should tell you before you dial

You do not need an application. You need enough to know whether this is your prospect:

  • Age range
  • Desired coverage amount
  • Whether they currently hold coverage
  • State
  • Purchase timing
  • Whether the person submitting is the decision-maker
  • A phone number verified on intake

Fresh vs aged: know which one you bought

Aged files are cheap because the intent has already been worked, often by several agents. They can be viable if you have capacity and a long follow-up sequence and you priced the lead accordingly. What they should never be is sold to you as new interest.

We only sell fresh webform leads produced for a funded order and routed live. We do not sell aged files or resell an old list as new intent.

Shared leads are survivable. Slow leads are not.

In a shared model the winner is nearly always the first agent to have a human conversation. That is a response-speed problem, and it is the reason final expense agents burn through lead vendors: the lead was fine, the first hour was not.

An automated first touch — call attempt, then text, then email, then a scheduled retry — is the cheapest fix available to a solo agent, because it does not require another person on the phone.

Compliance stays with the licensed professional

Automation identifies, gathers, follows up and schedules. Recommending, quoting and binding coverage remain with the licensed agent. Any lead vendor that implies otherwise is selling you a problem.

Common questions

Do final expense leads include a health application?

No. Our final expense leads capture age range, desired coverage, current coverage, state, timing and decision-maker status. There is no application, no underwriting and no hard credit pull.

How many agents receive the same lead?

A webform lead is distributed to a small, capped number of eligible buyers, and most inventory clears with fewer. The cap is published in our lead policy.
